Hi! B.Y.O.B. worked on the integration of the light groups in the compositor. forum link but it never got it into master. We have to check if we should reactivate the old scheme or use the new one.

Hi Michael , I think I have already seen this feature and even used it. The issue is that compositor Lightgroup while being very useful doesn't work until you launch a render. The presence of the old additional control in the UI help interact with Light Groups easily without the need to launch a render.
