I can't believe I haven't posted all year.
I just discovered What're Those on Smosh and I'm here for the chaos.
Products hard to move away from- Play Store, it's pretty much impossible to run Android without it and iOS is too locked down.- Gmail, long term work to update everything to use a new address- YouTube, there isn't an alternative for all the creators on there.- Docs, maybe they can be converted to an open standard but I fear conversion would mess them up.- Firebase is mostly still a good product and migrating app can be a lot of work.- Maps, nothing else has all the data.
Products that I think would be easy to ditch- Chrome, Firefox is a competitive alternative.- YouTube Music, I just have it play music so it's easy to move away from. The hard part is finding a non-Spotify alternative.- Drive, it's basically file storage.- Photos, I think Immich would be comparable, just a matter of safe hosting.
