Heirloom File Manager

New toolbar

The old drive bar has been replaced with a standard Windows toolbar. It has a location combobox that shows the full path of the current folder. You can type paths directly into it, and it expands environment variables (e.g. %USERPROFILE%\Documents). Next to the combobox is a drag-and-drop location icon. Drag the icon to another application to pass the current folder path along. Right-click the location icon for a context menu.

Streamlined menus

Several items have been reorganized: there's a new Tools menu, and the old Options menu has been consolidated into a single Tools > Options dialog. The word "directory" has been replaced with "folder" everywhere in the UI. The file type filter has been removed. The "Goto Directory" feature has also been removed, replaced by the location combobox in the toolbar and the existing bookmarks feature.

Visual improvements

• MDI child windows have flat, modern title bars with custom non-client painting.
• The app uses system cursors instead of custom cursor files.
• High DPI: MDI menu bar button glyphs are no longer tiny on high-DPI displays.
• Folder icons have been updated to match the classic WinFile style (thanks to @Yni-Viar).

Bug fixes

• Fixed folder list not refreshing after deleting a folder or performing zip archive operations.
• Fixed crash in Add Bookmark when nothing is selected.
• Fixed crashes when no folder windows are open.
