We are working on an internal developer platform backed by kubernetes operator.
All platform custom resources are related using OwnerReferences.
We use kubctl tree plugin to see the hierarchical view.
We have implemented the same view using k9s and xray treeview infrastructure.
The PR is in early stage. But we hope the this feature would gain interest in the community.
