Hi team, I found current extension dependency is not updated, so would like to introduce dependabot to auto-update.

I asked my agent to copy from OpenDAL one: https://github.com/apache/opendal/blob/main/.github/dependabot.yml, with modification: (1) remove unused packages; (2) group lance-core related ones.

⚠️ Gate recommendation: approve with a non-blocking risk.

The configuration is valid and adds useful scheduled coverage for Cargo and GitHub Actions. The new lance-stack group is not compatibility-aware, while this repository already has a specialized Lance updater because Lance, Arrow, and DataFusion sometimes need coordinated versions and source changes. That can leave recurring Dependabot PRs needing manual repair or duplicating the existing updater; keeping that workflow authoritative—or excluding this coupled stack from Dependabot—bounds the risk.
