Summary

Documents DuckLake as a second connection type alongside MotherDuck for DuckDB project connections. The setup tile is now labelled MotherDuck / DuckLake, and the connection type is selected from a toggle inside the form.

DuckLake lets users combine any supported catalog backend (PostgreSQL, SQLite, DuckDB file) with any supported data path (S3-compatible, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage, or local filesystem) to query Parquet data files through DuckDB.

Changes

  • Renamed the warehouse tile reference from "MotherDuck" to "MotherDuck / DuckLake" in the warehouse list.
  • Split the DuckDB section into two sub-sections (MotherDuck / DuckLake) sharing common dbt-version guidance.
  • Added a full DuckLake configuration reference: schema, catalog alias, catalog backends (PostgreSQL / SQLite / DuckDB file), data path backends (S3 / GCS / Azure / local), threads, and start of week.
  • Added an example profiles.yml for the PostgreSQL + S3 setup and a short note on the inline form used for SQLite / DuckDB-file catalogs.

Context

Triggered by the upstream change that adds DuckLake as a second DuckdbConnectionType (sharing the existing DuckDB warehouse client and dbt-duckdb adapter). Existing MotherDuck connections are unchanged.
