I'm using Flask-Mail for sending email notifications in a Flask app I'm developing, however the administrators of the mail relay that I'm using require automated mail senders to authenticate using TLS client certificates. This isn't currently possible with Flask-Mail due to how
smtplibis wrapped, butI've worked around this by subclassing
Connectionand overridingconfigure_host(). The changes are pretty straightforward to integrate into Flask-Mail, which means this would be supported out of the box.
