Intelligent systems that help humans and machines think together.
Pylit builds systems that enable human and AI agent teams to work together on longer, harder, more consequential problems by compounding knowledge into reusable logic.
The first wave of AI made knowledge easier to access by compressing the web. The next wave should make discovery and scientific progress easier to compose: preserving context, testing ideas, learning from failures, coordinating many agents, and helping people push projects forward across days, months, and years.
In scientific and technical work, progress depends on more than isolated answers. Discovery requires memory, iteration, evidence, skepticism, instrumentation, and taste. AI can amplify each of these, but only if the surrounding systems are designed for cumulative progress rather than disposable interaction.
Humanity advances when intelligence compounds.
Science is civilization’s most important compounding machine.
It turns observation into theory, theory into experiment, experiment into evidence, and evidence into new capability. But the process is slow, lossy, and bottlenecked by human attention.
AI can help compress that loop. Agents can search literatures, generate hypotheses, inspect code, run experiments, critique assumptions, preserve context, and help teams explore more of the possibility space.
But this requires systems designed for discovery, not just conversation.
A future where small teams can pursue ambitious research, engineering, and creative work with the leverage of much larger institutions.
A future where AI systems are more than automation. They should accelerate in the pursuit of positive outcomes: more experiments, better feedback loops, faster learning, and more predictable results.
A future where knowledge work becomes more experimental, more evidence-driven, and more cumulative.
We build in the open.
We start with focused systems, test them in real workflows, and keep the parts that compound. The open-source work is the proving ground. Products may follow where reliability, governance, collaboration, and scale become necessary.
AI should expand the frontier of what humans can discover and compress not only knowledge but time.
Pylit is building the intelligent systems to make that expansion possible. Human time is limited, but it shouldn't be a limitation.
