📓 Referenced Issue

N/A - This is an unprompted minor documentation grammar fix.

ℹ️ About the PR

Hi there! 👋 While reading through the documentation, I noticed a few minor grammar issues and awkward phrasing in the CONTRIBUTING.md file. I've updated them to make the guidelines flow a bit better for new contributors.

Here are the specific changes and reasoning:

  • Line 10: Changed "Search existing PRs related to that issue which might close them" to "Search for existing PRs that might close that issue."
    • Reasoning: Since "issue" is singular, the pronoun should not be the plural "them". Also made the phrasing slightly more active.
  • Line 11: Changed "Confirm if other contributors are working..." to "Confirm whether other contributors are working..."
    • Reasoning: "Whether" is grammatically more appropriate than "if" in this context.
  • Line 18: Changed "point you to a first good issue" to "point you to a good first issue to work on."
    • Reasoning: The official GitHub label is named "good first issue", so mirroring that exact label name reduces confusion.

(Note: This is my very first open-source PR!, Let me know if everything looks good!)
