Local validation failed on this branch: cargo check --workspace fails because sha2 0.11.0 digest finalization no longer supports the existing format!("{:x}", hasher.finalize()) path in the desktop Tauri code. This needs a compatibility fix before merge.

Closed as superseded by #34, which includes the sha2 0.11 update plus the required compatibility fixes and passed cargo check --workspace.
