Server Addon Legacy

Server Addon: Legacy

Description

Path-based references from older Biblestudy installs.

When to choose it: Nothing new. It exists so media from a pre-Proclaim install keeps working.

How to Access

Components → Proclaim → Servers → New, then choose Legacy in the server type picker.

Note

The server type cannot be changed after the server is created. To switch platforms later, create a new server and move media across with Administration → Server Migration.

Set Up the Server

Warning

Do not choose Legacy for anything new. It exists so that path-based media from a pre-Proclaim Biblestudy install keeps playing after an upgrade. For new media use Local, or the addon matching your host.

If you have inherited one, its Server URL Path, Protocol and Upload Path describe where the old files were kept. Leave them as the upgrade set them unless the files have moved.

Add a Media File

Existing records carry their filename, size and duration from the old install. New media should go on a modern server type instead.

No credentials needed

This addon has no API key or OAuth level. Paste a URL and it works.

Display settings shared by every addon

Every server type also carries the same block of display settings — player choice, popup behaviour, the media button's text, colour, icon and size, and the image shown beside it. They work the same way whichever addon you pick, and are documented on Help-server and Help-mediafile.
